FEBURARY 2018 Match Setup

 

Stage 1 –

Pistols: Loaded with 5 rounds each; holstered with hammer down on an empty chamber.
Rifle: Loaded with 10 rounds staged on Table #3 with action closed and bolt on an empty chamber.
Shotgun: Staged open and empty on Table #1 with 4+ rounds on person.
Scenario: In preparation for Valentine’s Day, you have taken your sweetheart to the county fair.  You have decided to demonstrate your marksmanship to him/her at the shooting gallery.
Shooter is standing behind Table #2 with hands at their sides.
Shooter signifies ready by saying the line:

Pick out your prize,  Sweetie.

Pistols: At the beep, draw pistols in accordance with your category and engage the pistol targets in a Hillbilly sweep from either direction. (ie: P1, P1; P2, P3; P4, P4; P3, P2; P1, P1) Holster pistols and move to Table #3.
Rifle: Retrieve rifle and engage the rifle targets in a Hillbilly Sweep from either direction.  Place open & empty rifle on Table #3 and move to Table #1.
Shotgun: Retrieve shotgun and knock down the shotgun targets in any order.
Take open & Empty shotgun, retrieve rifle and proceed to the unloading table.  Initial Score sheet.

Stage 2 –

Rifle: Loaded with 10 rounds with action closed and bolt on an empty chamber held in two hands behind Table #3.
Pistols: Loaded with 5 rounds each; holstered with hammer down on an empty chamber.
Shotgun: Staged open and empty on Table #1 with 4+ rounds on person.
Scenario: Pleased with yourself, you decide to further demonstrate your shooting skills by shooting the hats off 4 cowboys and then shooting the lights off the Ferris wheel.
Shooter stands behind Table #3 with rifle in two hands.
Shooter signifies ready by saying the line:

Hold my sarsaparilla and watch this.

Rifle: At the beep, engage the rifle targets in a Palindrome sweep from either direction. (ie: R1, R1, R1; R2, R2; R3, R3; R4, R4, R4) Place open and empty rifle on Table #3 and move to in front of Texas Star.
Pistols: Draw pistols in accordance with your category and knock off the 5 plates on the Texas Star.  Any remaining rounds are placed on the dump target.  If after 10 rounds there are still plates on the Texas Star, they will be counted as misses. Only remaining plates count as misses.  Holster empty pistols.  Move to Table #1.
Shotgun: Retrieve shotgun and knock down the shotgun targets in any order.
Take open & empty shotgun, retrieve rifle then proceed to the unloading table.  Initial score sheet.

 Stage 3 –

Shotgun: Staged open and empty on Table #1 with 4+ rounds on person.
Rifle: Loaded with 10 rounds staged on Table #3 with action closed and bolt on an empty chamber.
Pistols: Loaded with 5 rounds each; holstered with hammer down on an empty chamber.
Scenario: Things are looking good but you are having so much fun showing off that you are reluctant to stop.
Shooter is standing behind Table #1 with hands hovering over the shotgun.
Shooter signifies ready by saying the line:

Just once more!

Shotgun: At the beep, knock down the shotgun targets in any order.  Place open and empty shotgun on table and move to Table #3.
Rifle: Retrieve rifle and engage the rifle targets in a Poverty sweep from either direction.  (ie: R1, R2, R3, R4; R2, R3, R4; R3, R4; R4)  Place open and empty rifle on Table #3 and move to Table #2.
Pistols: Draw pistols in accordance with your category.  Engage the pistol targets in a Poverty sweep from either direction.  Holster empty pistols.
Retrieve open & empty shotgun and rifle, and then proceed to the unloading table.  Initial score sheet.

Stage 4 –

Pistols: Loaded with 5 rounds each; holstered with hammer down on an empty chamber.
Shotgun: Staged open and empty on Table #1 with 4+ rounds on person.
Rifle: Loaded with 10 rounds with action closed and bolt on an empty chamber staged on Table #3
Scenario: Your special friend has gotten bored with your showing off & to make matter worse – they have wandered off accompanied by your rival for their affection.
Shooter is standing behind Table #2 with hands clutching their heart.
Shooter signifies ready by saying the line:

Cupid, you wound me!

Pistols: At the beep, draw pistols in accordance with your category and engage pistol targets in a continuous Nevada sweep from either direction. Holster empty pistols and move to Table #1.
Shotgun: Retrieve shotgun and knockdown the 2 front shotgun targets.  Take open and empty shotgun and move to Table #3.  Place shotgun on Table #3.
Rifle:

 

Shotgun:

Retrieve rifle and engage the rifle targets in a continuous Nevada sweep from either direction.  Place open and empty rifle on table.  Retrieve shotgun and move to the rock.

Knock down shotgun target and knock down pop up.  (A successful hit on the pop up is a 5 second bonus – a miss does not count)

 

Take open and empty shotgun, retrieve rifle and proceed to the unloading table.  Initial score sheet.

 Stage 5 –

Rifle: Loaded with 10 rounds, staged on Table #3 with action closed and bolt on an empty chamber.
Shotgun: Staged open and empty on Table #1 with 4+ rounds on person.
Pistols: Loaded with 5 rounds each; holstered with hammer down on an empty chamber.
Scenario: The Carnies are a little bit irritated with you for winning all the prizes and shooting up the fair.
Shooter is standing behind Table #3 with hands at low surrender.

Shooter signifies ready by saying the line:

“But fellows, I was just having some fun.”

Rifle: At the beep, retrieve rifle and engage rifle targets in a Badger Sweep from either direction. (Ex:  R1, R2, R3, R4; R1, R2, R3; R1, R2; R1)  Place open and empty rifle on Table #3 and move to Table #1.
Shotgun: Retrieve shotgun and knockdown the shotgun targets in any order.  Place open and empty shotgun on Table #1.  Move to Table #2.
Pistols: Shooter draws pistols in accordance with their category and engages the pistol targets in a Badger Sweep from either direction.  Holster empty pistols.
Retrieve open and empty Shotgun and rifle, and then proceed to unloading table.  Initial score sheet

Stage 6 – 

Shotgun: Open and empty shotgun is held in two hands behind Table #1 with 4+ rounds on your person.
Rifle: Loaded with 10 rounds, staged on Table #3 with action closed and bolt on an empty chamber.
Pistols: Loaded with 5 rounds each; holstered with hammer down on an empty chamber.
Scenario:  It is starting to get serious, more fair personnel have joined the chase and it looks like they have plans to introduce you to a rope.
Shooter stands behind Table #1 with open and empty shotgun in both hands.

Shooter signifies ready by saying the line:

You’re breaking my heart.

Shotgun: At the beep, shooter knocks down the shotgun targets in any order.  Place open and empty shotgun on table.  Move to Table #3.
Rifle: Retrieve rifle and engage rifle targets in a 3-2/3-2 Sweep from either direction. (Ex: R1, R1, R1; R2, R2; R3, R3, R3; R4, R4)  Place open and empty rifle on Table #3 and move to Table #2.
Pistols: Draw pistols in accordance with your category and engage the pistol targets in a 3-2/3-2 Sweep from either direction. Holster empty pistols.
Retrieve open & empty shotgun and rifle then proceed to unloading table.  Initial score sheet.
