Match Information, Shooter Fees and Upcoming Events….

  • Monthly Matches:
    • Cowboy Action Shooting Matches are held on the Second Saturday of each month.  SASS regulations apply.
    • Set up begins at 7:30 AM. We appreciate all who come out early to help Lightning Will, our Scenario Writer, and Deadhorse Davenport, our Stage Setup Master.
    • Registration begins at 8:00 AM. Alpine Lil asks everyone who wishes to shoot, to register no later than 8:45 AM.
    • Safety Meeting begins at 8:50 AM, conducted by Deadhorse Davenport and Reuben J. Cogburn. 
    • Shooting begins promptly at 9:00 AM.
  • Shooter Fees:
    • Members of the South Bay Rod and Gun Club pay a fee of $15.00
    • Guests pay a fee of $20.00
  •   Monthly Practice Sessions:
    • "Sunday School" Practice Sessions held the 4th Sunday of every month from 9-12 AM. For those who are interested in learning about the game, we invite you to our practice sessions, affectionately called Sunday School.
  •   Monthly Match:        
    • Next monthly match to be held on Saturday,  April 14, 2012. Come join us!

Directions:

We shoot at the South Bay Rod and Gun Club located at 1020 Marron Valley Rd., San Diego, CA 91917 (few minutes from downtown San Diego). 

Take Highway 94 East, past the little town of Dulzura, to Marron Valley Road.  Marron Valley Road comes up quick just a mile or so past Dulzura, so keep an eye out for it and turn right. Follow the dirt-gravel road for a couple of miles, all the way back to the end and turn right, into the South Bay Rod and Gun Club.  Once you get up to the club's shooting range, follow the signs to "Cowboy Action Shooting".
